Famous drummer Jorge Rossy needs no introduction. He has played with many musicians from the new American jazz scene (Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Seamus Blake, Kurt Rosenwiekel, …). He was also part of Brad Mehldau’s trio. It was at the Jazz Campus in Basel that Eliott Knuets and Jonathan Collin had the opportunity to meet him, during sessions and masterclasses. Together, they form a trio where musicality and sensitivity are present.

It was the anniversary of the Heptone (jazz club in Ittre) that gave the impulse to form this group a few years ago. In February 2023, it is the 10th anniversary of the Heptone. On this occasion, Heptone Colours will present its brand new album! This concert is sure to put you in a good mood!
Thanks to the multi instrumentalists, the arrangements explore a very wide range of combinations of stamps. On the program: jazz, Brazilian, pop standards and original compositions original.

This new group was formed in Basel by Eliott Knuets and French pianist Noé Sécula. The rhythm section consists of drummer Genius Lee Wesley and Joan Codina Contra on double bass. They play new original compositions in which the spirit of masters such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Brad Mehldau,… remains.

Beyond their musical bond, Eliott and Maël are lifelong friends. We find them in a trio, this time with Joan, a talented Spanish double bass player. All 3 attend the Basel Jazz Campus. Their repertoire combines standards and personal compositions, in a very melodious universe.

Eliott and Maël are lifelong friends. They have often played as a duo, then as a trio with the support of Joan Codina on double bass. Here, they have expanded their line-up to a quartet, with the addition of Gabriel Moraes on drums. These 4 talented young musicians present a repertoire of standards and personal compositions.
